Rebrand Initiative
Shaping the Future of ISS – With Your Input!
Why We’re Rebranding
UNM Institutional Support Services (ISS) is evolving. As the core of daily campus operations—spanning facilities, business services, and infrastructure—we provide essential support that keeps The University running smoothly. However, our current name doesn’t fully reflect our work or impact across campus.
This rebrand is an opportunity to better represent who we are, what we do, and how we serve UNM. We want our name and identity to be clear, engaging, and aligned with our mission. Most importantly, we want our community, internal staff, and the wider campus to be part of this process.
Who’s Leading the Organization Rebrand?
This effort is guided by the Rebrand Committee, a diverse group of ISS support staff working together to ensure the process is inclusive, thoughtful, and strategic.
- Lydia Thomas, Chair, Marketing & Communications Manager, ISS Vice President's Office
- Mary Clark, Manager; Office of Sustainability
- Alma Gaxiola, Student Employee, ISS Marketing & Communications
- Oliver Riggle, Senior Marketing Representative, Residence Life & Student Housing
- Nick Royle, Manager, FM Special Activities
- Teianna Mitchell, Marketing Representative, ISS Marketing & Communications
- Texanna Martin, Manager of Administrative Operations, ISS Vice President's Office
- Trenton Ward, Senior Business Manager, Bookstores
- Joshua Whitman, Marketing Representative, PATS / ISS Marketing & Communications
- Public Information Representative - Vacant
Together, we’re gathering insights, analyzing feedback, and working toward a name and identity that reflects our role as a vital part of UNM.
How You Can Get Involved
The ISS Rebranding Committee conducted two surveys in early 2025, one for internal staff (English and Spanish) and one for the UNM community, to gather perceptions, values, and understanding around its upcoming rebranding initiative. The survey questions explored understanding of ISS’s mission, cross-departmental visibility, organizational culture, public perception, and suggestions for renaming.

What’s Next?
This rebrand isn’t just about changing a name—it’s about creating an identity that reflects our commitment to supporting UNM. Over the next year, we’ll be conducting research, engaging with stakeholders, and refining our new brand.
We’re excited about this transformation and look forward to shaping the future of ISS—together.
