University Research Park Economic Development Act Orgs. | 501(c)(3)
Legislation was enacted at the state level to authorize the establishment of multiple University Research Park Economic Development Act (URPEDA) organizations, also known as 501(c)(3) entities, at the University of New Mexico. Two of these organizations are affiliated with our Campus Environments & Facilities departments and operate under the supervision of the Vice President's Office for Institutional Support Services.
Lobo Energy Incorporated (LEI) is dedicated to utility services, energy conservation, and sustainability initiatives. LEI provides comprehensive support to the University by overseeing project planning, design, engineering, contracting, energy conservation, and commissioning services. They also handle equipment procurement and regulatory compliance. Lobo Energy continuously monitors technological advancements and promotes sustainable practices throughout the University.
