As the Executive Director for Institutional Support Services, Tabia is responsible forthe coordination of strategic programs for the Campus Environments & Facilities teams including UNM’s Asset Management Program, Facilities Investment Needs, Capital Planning, and the Integrated Campus Plan. Tabia has more than two decades of experience at the University of New Mexico, including real estate, facility planning, capital planning, and space utilization and management. She oversees the UNM Comprehensive Capital Plan and facilitatesUNM’s capital planning process, including the Capital Planning Leadership Team which creates the annual capital outlay plan.  She works closely with the NM Higher Education Department and the NM State Board of Finance in obtaining capital funding and project construction approvals. She also provides oversight for the strategic use, replacement, and renewal of the more than 14 million square feet of UNM-occupied facilities.
