We are also pleased to announce that Mariam Yaqub has joined the ISS VP Office as HR Administrator 2, supporting HR operations across ISS departments. Mariam brings a wealth of experience in human resources leadership, policy interpretation, compliance, and strategic personnel management.

Most recently, she served as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State and previously with the University of Washington as Assistant Director for Student Engagement. Her extensive experience navigating sensitive personnel matters and her ability to communicate complex policies clearly and effectively have made her a trusted HR advisor across a variety of governmental and interagency contexts.

In her role as HR Administrator 2, Mariam will support ISS-wide HR needs, including recruitment, compliance, performance management, and process improvement initiatives. She will serve as the ISS HR Agent and act as a key liaison between ISS departments and central Human Resources, ensuring strategic alignment and operational excellence across all units.
