Event Planning & Campus Spaces
The University of New Mexico hosts a wide range of events across campus. Use this page to find key planning resources, reservation contacts and service providers that can help you plan a successful campus event.

Depending on your event type, location and audience, you may need to coordinate space, safety review, parking, catering, housing, rentals or other support services.
Reserve Campus Space
Explore indoor event spaces available through the Events and Conferences Office. For unlisted locations, contact the building manager for the desired space.
Request Outdoor Space
The Student Activities Center (SAC) coordinates the use of outdoor campus spaces and can help start the approval or reservation process.
Plan Conference Lodging
Conferences hosted on campus may use on-campus accommodations, dining, recreation, classrooms, ballrooms and breakout spaces.
Complete Required
Safety Reviews
Environmental Health & Safety reviews special events and tent or membrane structures. Submit required forms at least two weeks before your event.
Arrange Event Security
Some events may require security or police services depending on event type, size or location. Security and law enforcement services are coordinated through the UNM Police Department.
Request Parking &
Shuttle Support
Parking and Transportation Services provides parking and shuttle support for special events. Submit requests 30 to 45 days before the event.
Reserve Rentals
& Movers
Facility Services supports events and moving activities on campus, including equipment rentals and event setup resources.
Coordinate Catering
& Food
UNM Food provides food and beverage services for special events. Food vendors and food trucks must be approved, licensed and insured before the event.
- SUB, University Club, UNM Championship Golf Course and La Posada are exclusively catered by UNM Food.
- Food trucks are subject to approval, inspection, licensing and liability insurance.
Request filming
on campus
Filming on The University of New Mexico campus is overseen by University Communications and Marketing (UCAM).
All requests must be submitted through the formal on-campus filming request process.
