Mariam Yaqub has joined the CES VP Office as HR Manager, supporting HR operations across CES departments. Mariam brings a wealth of experience in human resources leadership, policy interpretation, compliance, and strategic personnel management.

Most recently, she served as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State and previously with the University of Washington as Assistant Director for Student Engagement. Her extensive experience navigating sensitive personnel matters and her ability to communicate complex policies clearly and effectively have made her a trusted HR advisor across a variety of governmental and interagency contexts.

In her role as CES HR Manager, Mariam supports CES-wide HR needs, including recruitment, compliance, performance management, and process improvement initiatives. She will serve as the CES HR Agent and act as a key liaison between CES departments and central Human Resources, ensuring strategic alignment and operational excellence across all units.
