Real Estate

As Director of Real Estate, Tom supervises a staff of eight full-time employees. The department’s major areas of responsibility include property management, leasing, and acquisitions, providing comprehensive real estate services for all entities of the Regents. They also provide a range of analytical, consulting, and administrative services. 

After earning his BS in Real Estate from Florida State University, Tom was a commercial real estate appraiser and consultant specializing in income-producing real estate. Such properties included multi-tenant office buildings, industrial properties, shopping centers, multi-family housing, lodging facilities, residential subdivisions, and a variety of special purpose properties. He has been with UNM for over a decade. 

In addition to his UNM commitments, Tom is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, the Association of University Real Estate Officers, the Urban Land Institute, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
