- STC.UNM was created and funded by UNM to:
- Commercialize new technology
- Manage Park real estate requirements
- Start-up Companies became the focus of marketing efforts
- Corporate presence was established with the addition of Lockheed Martin

- Property Management and Park development shifted to the University Real Estate Office
- STC.UNM continues to acts as the commercialization arm
