University Planning Office

Space Planning

PCD Space Management and Planning professionals provide resources for coordinated project development and implementation in collaboration with PCD’s Planners, the Provost’s Office, Office of Capital Projects, Physical Plant Department, Real Estate, Safety and Risk Services, and IT for both minor and major capital projects.

Relocation Space Planning

University Planning and Space Management develop planning alternatives for departmental relocations to optimize facility and land uses while facilitating programmatic changes in space needs. The Office of Space Management oversees space requests.

Surge Space and Back-Fill Analysis

Developing plans for temporarily locating staff and services during remodel projects requires PCD to locate and negotiate uses for ever shrinking surge space. While new construction triggers our back fill analysis to determine best use of vacated spaces

Feasibility Assessments

University Planning assesses the feasibility of various planning alternatives relative to departmental relocations to new facilities or reallocations within existing facilities.
